Champion Relations Associate (CRA)

Background

SPEAKHIRE connects young people from immigrant backgrounds with professionals in their field who serve as Career Pathways Champions. These Champions offer guidance and support through structured internship sessions with their interns via video conferencing to promote skills development and establishing clear college and career goals. The Champion Relations Associate (CRA) reports to the Champion Experience Manager and works in collaboration with the Internship Program Administrator and Program Director to help recruit, screen, train, assist in matching Champions and Interns, and manage Champions for SPEAKHIRE. The CRA will support all prospective and current Champions through all onboarding, training, and program activities, will assist with the development of training and outreach materials, and will organize and maintain all records. The CRA will also actively seek to increase prospective and current Champion engagement and networking opportunities.

Description

The Champion Relations Associate (CRA) reports to the Champion Experience Manager and works in collaboration with the Programs Coordinator and Program Director to help recruit, screen, train, assist in matching champions and interns, and manage champions for SPEAKHIRE Program. The CRA will correspond with potential and current champions via email, will support the champion screening and training process, will assist with the development of training and outreach materials, and will organize and maintain important and sensitive records. The CRA may also be asked to assist with research and partner outreach when necessary.

Qualifications

    Pursuing or received a BA in a relevant area

    Effective and consistent communicator, and highly organized and efficient

    Excellent verbal, written, and editing skills with an exceptional attention to detail
  • check
    Highly skilled at developing interpersonal relationships with individuals of different backgrounds and ages at various stages of their lives and having varying levels involvement with the organization

    Technologically proficient especial in Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and willing to learn new technology platforms
  • check
    Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth
  • check
    Proven ability to assess and adapt to changing priorities, and take initiative in a fast paced start-up environment

    Demonstrated problem solving skills, flexible approach to overcoming obstacles

    Friendly and approachable demeanor and ability to speak and represent the organization at all times
Responsibilities
  • check
    Respond in a timely manner to Champion application inquiries, and follow up regularly to increase Champion applications
  • check
    Pre-screen Champion applications and move on to screening and reference calls
  • check
    Assist Champion Experience Manager in preparing and facilitating Champion onboarding and ongoing training
  • check
    Utilize tracking and organizational tools to manage and maintain all important and sensitive documents and records (Google Suite and Kintone, training provided for latter)
